​Desiree Gray has worked extensively for over twenty years in various professional capacities. Most recently she has spent the last 10 years with the Northwest Regional Professional Development Program as a K-12 trainer/specialist supporting Carson, Churchill, Douglas, Lyon, Storey, and Washoe County school districts. She offers in-service classes and trainings for Common Core State Standards, Thinking Maps, Sheltered Instruction, Academic Vocabulary, and Reading and Writing across the Curriculum. She also teaches a course called: Diagnosing and Remediating Reading Problems to undergraduates at University of Phoenix. She has worked for the State of Nevada on numerous content review and item writing teams for English Language Arts and served on numerous committees. Desiree is a native Nevadan and an alumni of Sparks High School, the University of Nevada, Reno, and University of Phoenix. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education in 1994, a Master’s in Literacy Education in 1997, and a Master’s of Arts in Supervision and Leadership in 2009.
