Computer Science, the latest and greatest in Nevada.

Updated: Sep 24, 2020

Covid-19 may have stopped us from going to concerts, attending big events, or even attending conference, but it hasn't stopped Nevada's CS teachers from moving forward. Even in these challenging educational setting, teachers are doing amazing work making sure students receive quality computer science education.

High school and middle school teachers are getting creative with distance learning lessons. Some have used Zoom breakout rooms for pair programming activities. Others are using collaborative platforms like Google Docs for peer review, editing, or debugging code.

Elementary teachers are finding creative ways for students to complete unplugged activities at home. Can you picture kindergartners "programming" the teacher in a video conferencing platform?

Educators are humble beings. Sometimes it takes challenging moments like Covid to remind us of the exponential abilities we possess. Keep moving forward. Don't give up. Take your mask off (when no one's around) and take a deep breath. And reach out to us for help if you need it...or if you just need some reassurance too.
